By James Roos
Miami Herald

Talk about talent and its rewards, Piotr Anderszewski, the Polish-Hungarian pianist who has been an annual visitor here courtesy of the Miami International Piano Festival of Discovery, has received the Irving S. Gimore Award of $300,000 -- $50,000 in cash, the balance in artistic support. The Award is not the result of competitive performances but of a 2 ½-year talent search conducted with input from noted artists and pedagogues.
