Cuban born baritone Armando Naranjo has been reviewed by the Diario de Las Americas as “a singer with extraordinary vocal faculties in opera, zarzuela or popular music”. Naranjo has received glowing reviews for his excellent performances of leading baritone roles in Zarzuelas with Pro Arte Grateli like “Amalia Batista”,
“Maria La O”, “Cecilia Valdes”, “Doña Francisquita”, “La Leyenda del Beso” and “Luisa Fernanda”.
Naranjo made his debut as Alidoro with the Florida Grand Opera Young Artist Program’s production of Rossini’s “La Cenerentola”. In April of 2016 he will perform the role of Sharpless in Miami Lyric Operas production of Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly”
