Eugene
Lifschitz is 13 years old. He grew up in a musical family,
his older brother Konstantin a famous pianist already
and his mother a piano teacher as well as a concert
pianist.
Eugene began to study music at the
age of four and chose the cello because he feels it
has the most beautiful voice. He spent 3 years at the
Gnessin’s Music School in Moscow, Russia, and
is currently studying with Dr. Irene Sharp in San Jose,
California.
He is a member of the San
Francisco Youth Symphony and became
a laureate of the Berkley Bach Junior Festival, San
Francisco Orchestra Competition( 1-st place), Freemont
Symphony Orchestra Competition (1-st place), Pacific
Musical Society Competition (1-st place). He has already
made his debut in New York playing for National Cello
Institute. Last Year he was selected to participate
in Showcase of Nation’s Top Young Classical Musicians
– “From the Top” Radio Program
in Boston.
Eugene Lifschitz’s appearance
at the Miami International Piano Festival’s “Master
Series” on March 3rd, 2002,
marked his debut at the Festival both as a soloist and
in collaboration with Deric Tay (Piano)
and Eugene Ugorski.
