Sijing Ye

Born in September 1991 in southern China, Sijing Ye has participated in numerous piano competitions in China and abroad and has earned recognition both at home and internationally for receiving several notable prizes: Second Place at the Gina Bachauer International Junior Piano Competition, June 2004 (Salt Lake City, U.S.A.); First Place at the International Music Competition Jeunesses Musicales (Bucharest ) in May 2004; Silver Prize in Final Stage at the 5th International Chopin Piano Competition (Asia) in February 2004; and First Place at the Second Asian Youth Music Competition Pianoforte Section in January 2004 (Hong Kong). In December of 2005, Sijing won first prize at the 69th Steinway and Sons International Children and Youth Piano Competition – held in Bejing, China. On June 2007, Sijing won the 2007 Academic Piano competition in the Aspen Festival and she performed a concerto with the Orchestra of the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen in July in the Benedict Music Tent.

Sijing Ye has been invited to collaborate with the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Wang Junshi, the Miami International Piano Festival Orchestra conducted by William Noll and the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Giordano. She also has piano recitals in Miami, Orlando and Birmingham.

Sijing Ye is a versatile young virtuoso, with interests not only in piano, but also in singing, dancing, chess and other sports.

Sijing is currently enrolled in the Juilliard pre-college division study piano with Ms.Yoheved Kaplinsky and she is a tenth grade at the Professional Children’s School.

Sijing Ye was discovered by Patrons of Exceptional Artists and is a grateful recipient of their support.
