    OUR EXCITING SEASON CONTINUES  on April 12  with the Final Concert of the Aventura Series   “Classical Sundays at FIVE”  featuring astonishing Italian Pianist VINCENZO MALTEMPO.   He has been acclaimed for his interpretation of the classics and performances of rarely played works of Czerny, Godowsky and Alkan that require virtuosity beyond many concert pianists.


    Classical Underground -  A New and Intimate Series presented in partnership with The Betsy Hotel, is a cause-driven cultural movement and a cross-discipline platform, where our artists  will get close and personal with the audience to  share their life’s story and their experiences at the Miami International Piano Festival.

    Our crown jewel is the annual DISCOVERY SERIES. The performances are in May14 – 17 again at the historic Art Deco Colony Theatre on Miami Beach. We present four successive evenings of brilliant piano recitals by recently discovered artists and musical prodigies from around the globe.

    The Discovery Series introduces our audience to four extraordinary artists: Rachel Cheung from China, Raluca Stirbat from Romania, eighteen year old piano and cello prodigy Sarina Zhang, and Russian virtuoso Leonid Egorov.  We are excited to conclude the Discovery Series on May 17, 2015 with a special performance of piano transcriptions from operas and are partnering this evening with Miami’s acclaimed Vocal Studio of Manny Perez. Arias by Verdi, Puccini, Bizet &Meyerberg will be followed by piano transcriptions based on opera themes by Liszt, Busoni and the three featured pianists: Francesco Libetta, Kemal Gekic and Leonid Egorov.


    The Miami International Piano Festival is held at select world-class performance venues in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

    held at the acoustically perfect Amaturo Theatre of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, explores an entire period in music or focusses on a composer.

    The Discovery Series…

    the Festival’s crown jewel, held at the beautifully restored, Art Decco gem, the Colony Theatre on Miami Beach. Presented in four consecutive days in May, the Discovery Series showcase piano recitals by newly discovered artists and prodigies.


    We are honored to present Professor Frank Cooper as Lecturer in Residence to enhance the complete Festival Experience. The Miami International Piano Festival is unique in that we strive to assist the musicians as they develop their careers. This approach, attracts an enormous wealth of talent which translates into amazing concert experiences for our appreciative audience. Each newly discovered artist is provided with career guidance and exposure, which for some, has resulted in coveted awards such as the Gilmore Award (the highest recognition bestowed on any pianist) and signed contracts with notable management agencies as well as prestigious recording opportunities.
