OUR EXCITING SEASON CONTINUES ON MARCH 12 AT 8:00 PM with a benefit concert for The Sarcoma Research Project by Polish pianist Piotr Anderszewski at The Colony Theatre in Miami Beach. On March 22 at 3:00 PM, we open the four concert MASTER SERIES  (March 22-24), a Tribute to Rachmaninoff and Scriabin at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The three pianists who were selected for these recitals have been acclaimed worldwide for their performances of works by these two great composers. The selections were carefully chosen to display the range and beauty of their piano music.  The series concludes on March 24, 7:45 PM, with seldom- heard performances of brilliant two piano works.



On March 12, at 8 PM Pianist PIOTR ANDERSZEWSKI returns to the Festival after 10 years to give a BENEFIT CONCERT to raise funds and awareness for a Sarcoma Research Project spearheaded by Thomas Temple, MD.currently Professor and Sarcoma Site Leader at the University of Miami. He will soon be leading the research and development program at NOVA Southeastern University. Piotr Anderszewski, a celebrity among pianists is generously supporting Dr. Temple’s research efforts to aid in the cure and fight against sarcoma cancers.  Since his discovery by The Festival in 1999, Anderszewski has risen to the ranks of the world’s most celebrated pianists.  His program will include works by Bach, Szymanowski, and Schumann.

Classical Underground -  A New and Intimate Series presented in partnership with The Betsy Hotel, is a cause-driven cultural movement and a cross-discipline platform, where our artists  will get close and personal with the audience to  share their life’s story and their experiences at the Miami International Piano Festival.

The Miami International Piano Festival is unique in that we strive to assist the musicians as they develop their careers.
