OUR EXCITING SEASON CONTINUES ON FEBRUARY 22, at 5:00 PM with a recital by 21 year old Russian sensation Nikolay Khozyainov, making his second appearance with The Miami International Piano Festival. After winning the 2012 Dublin International Piano Festival John O’Connor, Artistic Director of the Competition since its inception, reflected on Mr. Khozyainov’s remarkable triumph: “I was reluctant to award First Prize of this prestigious competition to such a young performer, but when Nikolay Khozyainov played like a young God of the piano, how could we not give him the support that his immense talent so richly deserved?”.

On March 12, at 8 PM Pianist PIOTR ANDERSZEWSKI returns to the Festival after 10 years to give a BENEFIT CONCERT to raise funds and awareness for a Sarcoma Research Project spearheaded by Thomas Temple, MD., head of the Musculoskeletal Cancer Program at Nova Southeastern. Piotr Anderszewski, a celebrity among pianists is generously supporting Dr. Temple’s research efforts to aid in the cure and fight against sarcoma cancers.  Since his discovery by The Festival in 1999, Anderszewski has risen to the ranks of the world’s most celebrated pianists.   His program will include works by Beethoven, Bartok and Schumann.
