Giselle
Brodsky was born in La Paz, Bolivia where she got her early
musical training.
She received her Bachelor and Masters Degree in Piano Performance
from the Manhattan School of Music. She has been trained on the
Taubman Approach since 1972 and continues training with Prof. Edna
Golandsky. She is part of the faculty of the Edna Golandsky Institute
and represents the Taubman Approach to piano technique in South
Florida.
Mrs.
Brodsky is the founder of Patrons
of Exceptional Artists, a foundation dedicated
to the support of exceptionally gifted performing artists and is
its Director of Talent Search. She is also the co-founder and artistic
director of the Miami International Piano Festival, established
in 1998 where she oversees all music events.
She
is chief artistic advisor, overseeing the selection of performing
artists and educational activities and teaches piano privately.
In addition to foundation activities, Mrs. Brodsky organizes yearly
lectures and masterclasses on the Taubman Approach during the Miami
International Piano Festival and workshops at different universities
in South Florida.
In July of 2003 Mrs. Brodsky presented The Miami International Piano
Festival in Lecce, Italy, in collaboration with Edna Golandsky and
faculty members of the Edna Golandsky Institute.
