Due to a serious illness Francesco Libetta has been forced to cancel his appearance in the program "The Animated Virtuoso"

We will be showing instead the film: "Piano Night" filmed by Ideale Audience at the famous piano festival in France L'Roque d' Antheron.

Piano Nights

In 2002, the world acclaimed Roque d'Anthéron Piano Festival which takes place in Provence every summer presented a number of young pianists (in addition to well-established names), whose performances were so remarkable that they were worthy of being recorded for posterity. Superb performances by Paul Lewis, Francesco Libetta, Zoltan Kocsis, Margaret Leng Tan (on toy piano), Boris Berezovsky, Vanessa Wagner, Leonid Chizhik (jazz) and Nikolai Lugansky were filmed by five different directors in a studio specially conceived in the grounds of the castle to permit sound recording of CD quality and TV filming of the highest standard. In addition to shooting 11 one-hour concerts, an 85-minute special composed of highlights of the performances with short introductions capturing the night air, nature and festive atmosphere of the festival gives a remarkable overview of today’s top pianists.
