Masters of the Keyboard, a WLRN presentation in conjunction
with the Patrons of Exceptional Artists, features a fine assembly
of some of the most exceedingly talented pianists in the world
airs January 4, 2001 at 8:00pm and January 9, 2001
at 9:00pm. This outstanding documentary combines interviews
and solo performances from promising artists Denis Burstein,
Kemal Gekic, Piotr Anderszewski, Francesco Libetta, and Ilya
Itin in a celebration of musical virtuosity.
Through the timeless work of composers Rachmaninov, Stravinsky,
Bach, and Scarlatti, viewers will revel in a closer look at
each individual keyboard master, experiencing mesmerizing
performances while following every inflection and nuance that
lies behind it. This program is truly a refreshing and inspirational
musical experience.
All five exceptional artists will be featured in The Fourth
Annual Miami International Piano Festival on January 24 and
25 at the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for Performing
Arts, and February 5 through 9 at the Lincoln Theater in Miami
Beach.
