Dear Friends and Supporters:
After an extraordinary season where we presented 23 piano recitals in celebration of our 25th anniversary of the Miami International Piano Festival (MIPF), we are thrilled to announce a new and exciting 2024 – 2025 season, in our ongoing journey to discover and support the most compelling pianists in this generation. We take pride as we witness their careers blossoming while audiences and music critics acclaim their artistry.
For 26 years, MIPF has given our artists a home and a stage to share their creativity, providing our artists with the freedom to bring forth their ideas, and explore the infinite possibilities of their imagination.
Inspired by the triumphant beginning of the "Concerto Evening Featuring Three great artists” in 2021, the Concerto Evening, has now become a tradition. We are thrilled to announce that on October 20, 2024, the MIPF Orchestra, will be led by Igor Gruppman, former concert master and associate conductor of the Florida Philharmonic from 1997 to 2003. He returns to Miami after 21 years.
The Concerto Evening will feature, three outstanding pianists: Vyacheslav Gryasnov (Russia), performing, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A major, K. 414, Dmitry Ablogin (Russia) Hummel’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 85 in A minor, and Florian Noack (Belgium) Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 2 Op. 440 in D minor. Three beautiful concertos that are refreshingly new to our audience.
The Aventura Arts and Cultural Center has been the home of the MIPF for the past 13 years and this Season we will be presenting six world-class pianists: Josu De Solaun (Spain), Dmitry Ablogin (Russia), Ariel Lanyi (Israel), Zlata Chochieva (Russia), Brandon Goldberg (USA) and Julien Libeer (Belgium).
The Discovery Series, (the Crown Jewel of the Festival) will feature 6 exciting new pianists at the iconic and intimate Wolfsonian Museum in Miami Beach. These artists are some of the most impressive pianists emerging on the musical scene today. True discoveries that will captivate musical lovers throughout the Southeastern coast of Florida and globally.

Our mission is broad and in addition to supporting our artists through special projects, we are committed to inspiring, and guiding the next generation of pianists through the Piano Academy established in 2015. The Miami International Piano Festival is today one of the most important organizations in the piano world.
The Miami International Piano Academy has expanded its mission and presented since 2015, seven unique programs in Miami and Italy. More than 300 young emerging pianists have benefited from the academy and the privilege of working with our artists — the inspiring mentors of the next generation of pianists. The Winter edition in Miami Beach, is made possible thanks to the funding and partnership with the City of Miami Beach and the generosity of Dr. Vilma Biaggi, one of our most ardent supporters and board members, and the Summer Edition in our new home in Italy, the Gustav Mahler Cultural Center in Dobbiaco, in the Italian Alps with a program that goes beyond the piano and now offers a special Collaborative Chamber Music Program.
As we enter the digital age, another significant development in our history, is the creation of a state-of-the-art Virtual Platform, where all the performances of our great artists will not only be available to our community but also worldwide, giving our artists well-deserved exposure and enhancing and amplifying our outreach.
We are grateful for our donors and cultural organizations' support and generosity, particularly the Florida Department of State Division of Arts and Culture, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, and the City of Miami Beach. Their generous support allows us to transform our ideas into a beautiful and meaningful reality.
Please mark your calendars and join us; your support and feedback are invaluable to all of us. As we enter this new season, I feel excited and optimistic. I know that the music flowing from the hearts of our magnificent artists will be deeply inspiring to all of us.
With music in our hearts,
Giselle
